Up In Flames- Lori Foster next great thing-- Coming in June 2014!!

I managed to score an advance review copy of Up In Flames to share with you guys. You will need some fresh air and a glass of cold water (or a cold shower) after reading this Lori Foster book.   If I had to  describe this book in a few words I would say "wild" and "exciting" and "HOT"!   Body Heat (the first of the two books)  is a walk on the wilder side of Lori Foster who always gives us hot romances for cold nights, but this book is way past that.   Foster throws us a curve by dividing the book into two consecutive novellas (just to keep readers on their toes. In Body Heat,  Under cover Office Melanie Tucker finds herself on a cruise with Adam Stone, the guy she loved to hate in high school.  She was a spoiled rich girl and he was a poor but popular and sexy guy.   Through a fluke of circumstance they end up marooned on an island after falling off of the ship. This leads to the couple getting together (in every way imaginable") in the second novella.   While you can pretty much guess at how the HEA will eventually pan out, in this novella it's all about enjoying the journey in the hot sweaty jungle.  It gives the term "rumble in the jungle" a new definition that romance lovers will love.

The second novella is Caught In the Act.  While the first novella was good, Caught In the Act was clearly my favorite of the two.  Mick Dawson is a cop in love with the girl he sees jogging through the neighborhood.  When he follows her and foils a jewelry store robbery that is really a hit on her life, Mick quickly makes her a part of his life and he is determined to save her from whoever is trying to kill her.  Delilah Piper is a ditzy bookworm and  adventure/ mystery writer who falls in love at first sight with the sexy hunk who saves her life during an attempted robbery.  She immediately finds herself very attracted to Mick and decides to trust her instincts and let him protect her as he is determined to do.  This story got off the ground a little better than the first book.  Boy was I wrapped up in every word.  It is interesting and Delilah is a nerdy author who lives dangerously so that she can experience the good and bad things she writes about in her books. Delilah gets the sexy hot hunk but doesn't try to change for him.  She   still gets lost in writing in spurts and she is not a social butterfly.   But, she finally begins to accept that she is just what Mick is looking for in a woman. These two kept me interested in their story.  I loved the way they interact with each other very honestly and down to earth.  They both have trust issues, and its great seeing how they mess up things but still manage to keep their relationship strong.

This book is a keeper just like all of  Lori Foster's other books.   Her books always leave you feeling like you went on an adventure away somewhere.  With two novellas in one book, Up In Flames is  money that is well spent.

You can connect with Lori as well as see and get information on her many books at her web web  site.

The Winter Storm: An Ever After Chronicle
Top 100 Amazon - BDSM and Paranormal

In a world where fairy tales and real life collide, in which truth is sometimes stranger than fiction and romance and fetish are the norm, a winter storm forces a cast of characters to converge at a unique lodge, and three interwoven tales are set in motion.

Jillian and her brother narrowly escape a wolf attack, thanks to a shapeshifter, Bertram. As the owner of the lodge, Bertram opens Jillian’s eyes to a whole new world filled with spanking and so much more. Will she keep fighting her submission, or allow herself the chance for true love?

Coral is a fugitive—hiding from herself, her true desires, and the sea witch to whom she owes a great debt. She fears showing real emotion and letting herself be free, but Jake Hill’s dominating presence beckons her to yield to him—not just her body, but her heart, mind and soul. When the sea witch demands retribution, though, she may lose the one man she has come to trust.

When Faye blunders while casting a spell upon her landlord, he claims her as his slave until she can undo the magic, and she finds herself subject to his firm discipline. As her attraction to him grows, Faye fears she will give in to the handsome shifter and forever lose her maidenhood, and consequently her powers and the ability to fix her mistake.

Even as all three women struggle with surrendering to the dominant men they have fallen for, each finds herself on a journey to discover her true self. Can they find a way to yield to love without losing themselves in the process?

For those of you who are into a little BDSM every now and then or as often as you can here is a blog hop that you will definitely love.  The list was closed but I  wanted to be included.

Renee Rose's book Held For Ransom Is a HOT historical romance.

The first Renee Rose romance I read was years ago. It was conservative well written and a great read.  Over the years Rose has become a well established author, and now that she has matured she likes to walk on the wild side of romance writing with hints of bdsm elements (like spanking) added in the plot.  All I can say is “Wow!”

This is a historical romance with a bit of an added twist. In “Held For Ransom”, Gorran (AKA Crowe)is Viking soldier kidnaps the Kings sister (Princess Ariane) in an attempt ransom his missing sister whom he thought was taken prisoner in one of the King’s raids.  Of course he didn’t count on falling for her beauty. The other thing that he didn’t count on was having to spank the spoiled beauty, or how they both enjoying her spanking(s) so much. Gorran tries to come off mean, but he is quite the opposite and protects the Princess.  When Princess Ariane obviously enjoys her spankings he begins to “play” with them a bit and they both dream of more.

Historical erotic romances with spanking/bondage aren’t written often and that makes this innovative novel a wonderful read.  Gorran and Ariane are obviously meant for each other no matter how much Ariene denies her attraction to Gorran. Rose manages to pack a big “wholluping” (--lol) story in very few pages. It reads like you have 200 pages to go, but readers won’t feel cheated when it ends.  I must say that I wanted a lot more of the story.  I can easily imagine many more scenes and adventures for this loveable couple,   I feel like I was just getting to know them and that their story could easily have been 300 pages instead of only just over a hundred pages.

This is a novella that is well worth the read.  Boy has Renee Rose grown up!! I’m glad she is writing what she really likes instead of just what others want to read. I can’t wait to find some more of her recent work.
For those of you who may not know; Renee Rose is a contemporary dance teacher, Feldenkrais Practitioner, energy worker and spanko. A lifelong writer, she has a B.A. in creative writing from Knox College, where she won the Davenport prize for both fiction and poetry, and the Lorraine Smith prize for literary criticism.   You can read more about Renee Rose at her web site.  Read a quick intro to her newest erotic romance:
